In Baku, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan and the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation held ceremonial events to mark the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great enlightener and poet Alisher Navoi.
The gathering began with a flower-laying ceremony at the Navoi’s monument in Baku. It was attended by the ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, rectors of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, the Tashkent State University of Economics, the Uzbek National Pedagogical University named after Nizami, representatives of the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation, as well as our compatriots residing in Azerbaijan.

On the same day, a scientific and educational conference dedicated to Alisher Navoi's birthday was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Participants highlighted Alisher Navoi’s contribution to world literature and his role in strengthening the spiritual unity and cultural affinity of Turkic peoples. Navoi’s legacy helps reinforce friendship and spiritual solidarity.
